Driving?
Denali River Cabins & The Cedars Lodge Hotel are located at Milepost 231.1 on George Parks Highway.
If you are driving northbound from Anchorage or from the Denali Highway in Cantwell, we will be on the left-hand side as you come down the hill towards the Nenana River Bridge. Come down the driveway and make an immediate left, you will see our big wooden sign.
If you are driving southbound from Fairbanks, you will pass through “Glitter Gulch” where all the big hotels and gift shops are, pass the Denali National Park Entrance and drive 6 miles. Cross the Nenana River Bridge and turn immediately left, and left again.
On the Train?
We meet every train in our big red and white bus (which is marked Kantishna Roadhouse) near the Alaska Railroad cars, and our friendly staff will be holding “Denali River Cabin” signs. Have your luggage tagged with our “DRC” tags when you board the train, and our staff will retrieve them for you.
When you leave us, we will transfer you and your luggage to the train depot, with a little extra time to enjoy the Park Visitor Center, conveniently located across the street.
On a Motor Coach or Shuttle?
If you are taking the Parks Connection Motor Coach from Anchorage or Alaska Yukon Trails from Anchorage, have them drop you off or pick you up at the McKinley Village (our neighbors across the drive-way.)
