Tours into Denali National Park
Kantishna Wilderness Trails excursion: We operate this full day narrated trip through the Denali National Park, pausing to enjoy the amazing wildlife and scenic views along the way, including Polychome Pass, the Eilson Visitors Center, Wonder Lake on the way to our lovely Kantishna Roadhouse located at the old gold camp. A nice, sit down lunch is included in our Roadhouse dining room. After lunch enjoy a fun and educational activity – either explore the Alaska Gold Rush experience by panning for gold in Moose Creek, or hear and see excited Alaska sled dogs at our sled dog demonstration. Sittin’ in the rocking chairs on the porch is another great option.
Driving back along the Park road through the Park – you have more options to spy grizzley bear, moose, caribou, dall sheep – and maybe our state bird the ptarmigan! Learn more about the Kantishna Wilderness Trails excursion.
If you are planning a different tour such as the Tundra Wilderness Tour or the Denali Natural History Tour, into Denali National Park, have them pick you up at the McKinley Village stop – they are our neighbor 50 yards away. If you are planning to take one of the Green Park Shuttles that operate out of the Wilderness Access Center, we have transportation tickets available for $5 to get to the WAC.

Where to Hike
Denali is such a beautiful place it attracts world-class experts who will share their passion for the area. Our Tour Desk can help arrange trips for you (this booking service provided at no extra cost) with all of the vendors in Denali. We recommend that you wait to make your arrangements until you get to Denali so you can work around scheduling, weather and energy issues.
Oh…. the possibilities:
Rafting the Nenana River – choose either a gentle scenic float trip or exciting whitewater adventure.
Flightseeing: Take a bush plane to Mt. McKinley and spy upon mountain climbers or maybe land on a glacier, take a helicopter over the Park or land on Yanert Glacier. During your visit to Alaska, you need to get up in the air at least once to experience the vastness of it all –take advantage if the weather is good.
Learn the art of Fly Fishing – catch an Artic Grayling in a cold mountain stream or Lake Trout in Wonder Lake. Enjoy any excuse to revel in gorgeousness of the area.
ATV across the Tundra. Experience Alaskans "other car" in Alaska’s Stampede Trail area.
Golf at midnight... because you can! Try not to hit a moose walking across the green.
Go to the Dogs - Meet Iditarod racing dogs in Champion Jeff Kings Kennel (you get to hold puppies!), or hear about the Park Ranger’s working sled dog program.
